PRESCHOOL

Our preschool scholar's curriculum at CCA introduces language, math, science and social studies in a way to encourage learning at child's own pace. They develop physical coordination, formulate and combine ideas, are able to learn more complex games and begin the journey of learning about themselves and each other.

All classes are infused with scripture memorization, Godly character training, and early learning about the attributes of God to help students grasp not only a good understanding of their education but also develop an early passion to know God's will, plan and purpose for their lives.

PRE-K - KINDERGARTEN

Our kindergarten scholar's curriculum focuses on developing foundational skills that prepare students for later learning in the areas of math, science, social studies, word building and language arts. It is a time for both play and learning two facets in which there is a great deal of overlap. Kindergarten is a big step for children, in many cases the first time in a public, social setting outside the home. Attending kindergarten is an essential transition into elementary school.

FIRST - THIRD

We strive with our 1st-3rd grade scholar's to become fluent readers and writers, to engage with different kinds of symbol systems and to master a range of concepts and processes in math, science, social studies, language arts, and word building.

We also help students develop an awareness of themselves as individuals and how to be a participant in a community of learners.

FOURTH - EIGHTH

Fourth and fifth grades are the most important years in elementary school. Our fourth grade scholars at CCA make their mark by taking on new challenges like new types of work and social challenges. We make sure students are progressing through their academics at a good pace and try to resolve any difficulties they may be having.

Fifth grade is the final year in which all the knowledge acquired and mastered up to this point is utilized more deeply. Fifth grade is about helping students practice, refine and grow their skills in preparation for middle school.

For our sixth - eighth grades, the most important goal at CCA is to develop strong study habits, to continue to embrace learning and to value education in general. A lot is going on in the life of a middle schooler and life skills such as self awareness, self control, perseverance, resilience, leadership, communication, making connections, teamwork, and so much more, are intertwined through our curriculum. Godly purpose and character is also highly stressed.

SUMMER CAMP

Summer school/camp at CCA is an exciting time mixed with learning, exploring and fun. We provide students with academic, social and personal enrichment opportunities. We mostly focus on core subjects such as reading, writing, arithmetic, and language.

In addition, we spotlight team development and leadership skills. We take weekly trips to the library and participate in the summer reading program, arts and crafts, we go swimming weekly, go to a different park weekly and do special fieldtrips such as to the aquarium, beach, zoo, theme park, in-door play spaces, SF wharf and Pier 39, and so much more.

Summer school/camp is definitely a well sought after time at CCA. We have parents who have returned for consecutive years and vow they will continue to do so.
